Venice von Varel is a very handsome 12 month old German Shepherd on the smaller side. This smaller sized boy will melt even the coldest of hearts, with his shy but very sweet personality. Venice is mid energy, he walks wonderfully on leash, preferring to walk by your side or a little behind. He loves to sniff the grass to get a better sense of his surroundings, but will follow you if you continue to walk. Venice is still very nervous in this new environment, and is afraid of sudden movements. He does not act aggressively at all, but will need some patience and kindness to come out of his shell. Venice will come to you slowly if you reach your hand out to him, and if he appears stiff at first, will eventually relax when he realizes how comfortable the head scratch feels. Venice is great with meeting other dogs, but a little afraid of the pushy, dominant types. In playgroups he sits in the corner alone, but with some encouragement would meet other dogs with a slight tail wag. Venice has the most beautiful soul, and with a patient and loving home, he will blossom into the happy, devoted shepherd that is hiding inside.
